After a lot of hard work, we are finally ready to release the Cyber Sports United to the public. This gaming league is, and always will remain, free. There are few things about this league that will be different than what you may be used to. The biggest change is that the seasons will move at a much faster pace than any current leagues right now. We are pushing for a new season every  2 months. The first 5 weeks of the season will be the normal competition and the following 2 weeks will be playoffs. The final week will be a buffer period to allow new signups for the upcoming season and then BAM! The next season starts.
 
In summary
A season is 8 weeks
- Weeks 1 to 5 will be the normal competition
- Weeks 6 to 7 will be playoffs
- Week 8 is a buffer period for new signups
- The following week the next season begins
 
During the normal season (weeks 1-5) there will be one match per week and playoffs will be no more than two matches a week. The regular season is being set to one match per week because we feel that playing 2 matches a week is asking for an extreme amount of dedication and time to any particular video game. To play 2 matches a week requires a lot of time and energy just to keep a team active. We want to ease up on the players and give them a chance to breathe between matches and not rush them to complete a match every 3 days.
 
This quick season structure is being put in place because in this present time new gaming teams are created everyday and on those same days other teams fall apart and die. Competitive gamers are always trying to bring their team to the next level and unfortunately players get dropped from rosters, teams split up and everyone starts scrambling looking for a new team to join for the season. With our quick seasons we want to support the rapidly changing the competitive gaming world and give the gamers a platform that can keep up with their forever changing rosters. For example, your team dies 5 weeks into the season. No problem! The next season starts in 3 weeks.
 
Just so you all know, the structure of this league is not set in stone and it is something that will be built by the community. We realize that even though we have just opened our doors, we really do not own this league. You, the gamer, own this league and without your participation... we suck.
